Mr. Guy M’Bengue is graduated from the French School of Business «Ecole Supérieure de Commerce et d’Administration des Entreprises (ESCAE) de Lille – France» and has earned a MBA in international affairs at INSEAD at Fontainebleau – France. Mr. M’Bengue has more than thirty years of experience in leading French multinational corportations, as well as an experience in international business counseling for key private and public sector’s stakeholders based in Africa, Europe and in the US.
In 1998, upon the request of the World Bank, the Ivoirian private sector and the State of Côte d’Ivoire, M. Guy M’Bengue held the position of Administrator and CEO of APEX-CI. Under his leadership, the scope of activities of APEX-CI has considerably being extended, becoming a true platform of service/support programs to corporations in the developement of the private sector and an active partner of the local government on national and international issues.
Since 2017, he chairs the Regional network of OPC of WAEMU, after holding several senior positions, as a member of the Steering Committee for the eligibility of Côte d’Ivoire to Millennium Challenge Corporation (CNP-MCC) chaired by Ivorian Prime Minister. As Chief Negotiator, he was pivotal in Côte d’Ivoire’s eligibility to Threshold (2014) and to Compact (2015). He has been the Coordinator of the membership and shareholder process of Côte d’Ivoire at the panafrican insurance company, Africa Trade and Insurance, an «A» rated corporation by Standards and Poors. He is currently one of its Directors and also the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Afriland First Bank -Côte d’Ivoire, and directors of several corporations.
